Just noticed an item I posted with Royal Mail in December does not show any delivery info so checked the tracking number and it isn't recognized. I may have typed in the wrong number because the buyer must have got the item or I would have heard from him! I don't sell much and RM is very reliable but I had forgotten to check. Is there a way to correct this to show the item was delivered? Thank you.

You should be able to manually change the tracking us a PC / laptop with Chrome, but to be honest if 2 months have gone by, and the buyer hasn't opened a case for item not received, and you should have had that payout released by now, it doesn't matter, so you can if you wish, leave it as it stands.
Just keep those tracking details/ proof off posting safe for 6 months as you would with any proof of posting.

As you say,if there was a problem then the buyer would of contacted you by now,and they only have 30 days from delivery to open any case on ebay,so well out of time.
Just remember to check and upload tracking to ebay in the future 😉
