The eBay dates are the dates that your sales are reported to HMRC and run from Jan 24 to dec 24.So, HMRC get a whole years worth of sales reported to them.
The April 24-25 is the tax year that HMRC use here in the UK. If you're trading as a business and have made more than £1,000 in sales during that particular period, you'd fill in a self assessment for sales made during that period.

The 2024 to 2025 tax year starts on 6 April 2024 and ends on 5 April 2025.
I assume you mean purchases from you, so. sales made by you?
