Straight blade sales

Hi, I recently had my account restricted for having a Dispenser for 100 straight blades for sale, apparently this is not permitted under the knives policy but yet I've seen alot of listing's thats the same item but a different manufacturer? Is there something I'm doing wrong as they are just trimming blades the same as alot of others that are listed and it doesn't look like these other sellers have had this problem due to the longevity of their listings.  The pic attached is one of the listing's that seem to be ok but mine is exactly the same and there is other examples. Thanks.

There are at least two possible reasons why you see others listed -

Business Sellers using correct methods of postage /delivery.

Sellers outside the UK.

Straight blade sales

Hi, Thanks for the reply, the 3 items I'm watching are UK based and all 3 have different postage costs and courier options. Is it because the manufacturer is Stanley ones that i listed and are being taken off the site? Its just strange that my listing is taken off and theirs isn't and ebay don't give me a straight answer, its like they don't know themselves. CheersSent from my Galaxy

Have you actually read eBay's Knives and bladed items policy?

The sale of Stanley knives is specifically prohibited, so you can't be surprised that a listing for a pack of 100 blades was removed.

Why some ads for similar blades have not been removed is irrelevant. No-one had reported them, and eBay's bots may have missed them (you may be right that "Stanley" is a key word for recognition).

It's irrelevant anyway. There will always be some ads that are not found and removed. Just as there will always be motorists who get away with speeding. But if you were caught yourself this wouln't be much of an excuse, would it?

I get what your saying but its not weapons its a trimming tool and ebay know about the other listings as I tried to find out the difference from them which they couldn't explain and the other listings are still on there. I was only asking for clarity I'm not after getting anyone else's listings removed. Thanks for the reply.Sent from my Galaxy
