Started a return too early and closed the return, now that it has arrived I can't return it because it keeps saying that the return is closed.

Why ever did you open a return when you had nothing to return? Once opened why did you close it, you only get one chance so you are now stuck.

If seller wanted to it could be arranged between you, but there is no incentive for seller to cooperate.
