Sold item not being delivered

hi there,  I recently sold a football shirt on ebay and purchased the ebay postage option.  I took the item to the post office and scanned the ebay barcode.  however the item seems to just be getting passed around Royal Mail postage centres and is not being sent to the buyer

It is up to buyer as soon as past estimated delivery date, to open a not received case. You refund and then see if you can claim from Royal Mail for lost item. Depending on what service you used also determines what  cover you have.
