Sold item, buyer collected , payment showing in Ebay as been made but not transferred

I wasn't aware the rules had been changed whereby a buyer shows a QR  code for me to scan upon collection, so he  took the item . I checked my Ebay and noticed he had paid 4 days ago .I checked payout hold status but nothing is showing so i am wondering what to do. I Googled for advice and it was suggested that i should mark the item as dispatched so I am wondering which option in awaiting dispatch i should take and whether that is  the right thing to do?

Collection only items either need the six digit code that is sent to the buyer or as you mention a qr code. Do not release the goods until you have scanned or entered the code against the item to verify it’s correct.

has the buyer collected the item yet? If not they need to bring the code I mentioned. If the have collected politely message them and ask for the code so it will then release funds.

You can still ask the buyer now to give you the code via message.    If not you can mark as paid and dispatched but without the code you will have to wait up to 21 days for the money to be released.

Collect in person items are paid now through the ebay checkout prior to collection,as ebay have stopped the cash on collection option.The buyer gets a 6 digit code when they pay and needs to show you the seller the code so you can scan it or manually enter the details is the order details to prove collection.

You will now have to wait 21 days for the payment to clear as you have no code.

Possibly contact the buyer an ask for them to forward you the code,it would be in the email sent to them when they paid or in there order details, so you can still enter the code details.

yes unfortunately he has but in will try what you suggested. Thanks. Presumably eBay has the funds on hold but i cannot see that as showing

I did contact the buyer and asked him to contact Ebay to tell them he collected the item . Since then i see that under "Manage paid and dispatched orders"  status is showing as "paid and dispatched" so I assume form that the transfer into my bank account within 21 days?

Embarrassingly,  it turned out to be quite simple in the end, but I had to be aware of the changes that have been made since the days when  I used Paypal as a place where payouts went automatically . It ended up being a simple case of going into "Payments ", clicking the arrow in "eBay Balance" and then clicking "withdraw"
