Sold a dress. Realised it wasn't as advertised. contacted seller, no word from them.

As above, immediately sent a message to the buyer , giving her the option of cancellation/refund or accept the dress as very dark navy instead of black.

she never came back to me but it seems that eBay have taken over and are working with the buyer.

What does this mean?

Has buyer opened a not received case, if so it is in your interest to refund asap.

Have you cancelled the sale, as without buyers agreement you would get a defect, if buyer has opened  a not received case, and ebay refunds again you get a defect.

Depending on your volume of sales, defects can be very damaging and lead to restrictions on your selling.
