Slight dispatch delay request from buyer

Hi, just inquiring please regarding an item I have just sold this evening (Sat 18th Jan).

The buyer immediately paid and messaged to ask if I could hold on sending it out for a couple of days.

I am meant to dispatch the item this Monday 20th via Parcelforce 24h. But the buyer has kindly asked If I could hold on a bit and send it this Wednesday the 22nd instead so they would hopefully receive it on Thursday 23rd. I said this was fine so regardless I will still in the morning book the Parcelforce collection for Wednesday and have the tracking information ready to add for the "dispatch" update on Monday.

As the buyer has requested this via the eBay messaging system would there be much trouble on my account because of this?

Cheers.

Re: Slight dispatch delay request from buyer

If you are buying your own postage  and not through eBay, you could just manually mark it as dispatched on the Monday and post it out on Wednesday.

Send the buyer an eBay message to explain what you are doing and add ....as you have requested the item will actually be sent out on the Wednesday.

Re: Slight dispatch delay request from buyer

Much appreciated thanks, thought this was the case. I will be in continuous contact with the buyer regarding updates and they will have the tracking details at hand the moment I book the collection.

Thanks again.
