Simple delivery

Parcel meets the criteria for simple delivery yet on the listing page e bay says simple delivery is not available for his item? Anyone else having this problem?

What is the item?  Perhaps it doesn't qualify for SD?

Otherwise ,  try a little later, it may just reappear,  or switch devices,  if using the app try a laptop / PC and Chrome see if that shows Simple Delivery.

Lots of items are not eligible for Simple Delivery - cigarette lighters is one item that comes to mind.

As well as the published criteria the item has to be in a qualifying category,  these are not published.

If the parcel meets the published criteria I do not understand why E Bay have an unpublished criteria for simple delivery that seems quite ridiculous to me? What’s the point in that?

Ebay wants people to use simple delivery and it doesn't want them choosing the wrong category in order to get the exemption. So they don't publish the categories. 

If books is an exempt category then custom postage will be an option on the listing form.

I have one book listing showing simple delivery as an option and another book with exactly the same dimensions and weight and says simple delivery not an option for this item?

Your books are listed in different categories.

The one with SD is listed here -

• Books

  The ones with custom postages are listed here -

  • Collectables & Art
  • Fantasy, Myth & Magic
  • Magic
  • Tricks

Bingo!!! Thank you so much, I have had numerous e mails form Customer Service saying my listing are fine and delivery will be by default Simple Delivery which was not the case for one of my sales.
