Simple delivery too complicated

A couple of months ago I got fed up with the new simple delivery options and stopped listing. Today I went back to give it another go, and have abandoned listing on eBay again.  Why do I need a "policy", I tried to set up eBays simple delivery policy and couldn't. Why does eBay need to shove their postage labels at me, I can manage posting things myself.  

Please eBay abandon all these preset options. I want to list quickly and not get bogged down in your self-serving complicated options. 

This is what I used to do and it worked perfectly.  When listing I offered free postage and the delivery method Other Courier.  Then when the item sold I packed the item, weighed it and then posted it by whatever courier made sense according to price and the convenience of drop off point.  Never had any complains about postage.

eBay is unlikely to see your comment, and even if the do it's even more unlikely that they will take any notice of it.

The same complaints have been expressed over and over again on the discussion boards. For once, some of the private sellers who say they will stop selling here sound as though they really mean it.

But nothing has changed. eBay does what suits eBay. Although its share value has fallen slightly this month, it's still at a five year high and nearly three times its value two years ago. Now that is what suits eBay!
