Simple Delivery unable to add Tracking and receive payments

I listed an item and it sold, I just used parceltogo as I cannot work out how to adjust the  parcel size, weight or courier. The buyer received the item and left positive feedback so funds were released, I then submitted a claim to receive the postage label back - which I have still not received.

I listed another 2 of the same item and they have sold, however I am unable to add the tracking, the buyers haven't left feedback so I am unable to claim the payments as ebay is still showing them as dispatched, the items were received last Tuesday and Wednesday. Can someone please help me with; firstly how to opt out of simple delivery and then how to receive my 2 payments for the items I have sold, Thankyou

Re: Simple Delivery unable to add Tracking and receive payments

You cannot opt out of Simple Delivery,  it is now mandatory for Private sellers.

If you use your own postage and not SD postage you may not be able to change that tracking yourself,  you can ask eBay Customer Services to do this for you,  but I'm not sure they still do if it looks like you're avoiding to use SD.

End of the day,  if there is no tracking to show delivery your payout will be held for a  minimum of 14 days before release.  Feedback now,  only releases payouts sooner,  for items under the value of £25.

If you wish to,  this is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

You can't opt out of Simple Delivery.

It is becoming mandatory across the site.

Unless you offer free delivery, when items sell with Simple Delivery the buyer pays. You can't claim a refund for something you have not paid for and the Simple Delivery postage cost paid will be refunded to the buyer.

You have lost the money you paid to send as there is no way to get this back.

You can contact Ebay Customer services and ask them if they will change the tracking on the items you send independently.

If they won't do this, the the item is deemed to have been sent without tracking and you will be paid 14 days after the transaction date, so on day 15.

Is there any reason why you don't just accept the change and use SD?

Re: Simple Delivery unable to add Tracking and receive payments

I offered free postage so I that I could claim it back, however there was nowhere  to enter the tracking details.

I am not using simple delivery as I can't work out how to use parcel to go (royal mail small parcel collection)  as the delivery service (or change any details, it seems to default to £2.70 and that won't cover the postage) . If it gets updated on the 15th day, will I still be able to claim back the £2.70 simple delivery label charge per item? Thanks

Re: Simple Delivery unable to add Tracking and receive payments

If you listed using simple delivery but with free postage, ebay will have charged you for the postage which you need to actively claim back from them within 14 days.

Re: Simple Delivery unable to add Tracking and receive payments

Thanks for your help, I will give them a ring and see what they say. Yes I was avoiding simple delivery as I am not sure how to use it, I use parceltogo to book a royal mail small parcel collection as it only costs £3.45 - I cannot find this option or change the weight or dimensions of my items. Do you enter the carrier, weight and dimensions when you are creating the listing or after the listing has sold?
