Simple Delivery not used.

Hi folks, 

After some help. I am a returning private seller after 5+years break. I sold an item for £35 but was confused by the whole simple delivery thing, I didnt realise I had to use this and use the label provided. Instead I have just taken it to the post office and paid for a faster service at a higher price to myself (I was ok with this).

I now notice that funds wont be released until delivery is confirmed, however as I have not used the provided label how will delivery be confirmed? Will I still get my funds? Do I need to do anything?

Firstly,  after a 5 year break have you registered for eBay's Managed Payments?

You need to provide eBay with details of a bank account and have this account verified.  The usual method here, is for eBay to send 2 micro deposits into that nominated bank account for you to receive,  and confirm to eBay.

Once this is completed,  you will be able to list items for sale,  and receive payouts from those sales.

This will show you how to register for eBay's Managed Payments.

Not using the Simple Delivery label, it is now mandatory for Private sellers,  your payout is usually held for 14 days, but as a new / returning seller,  it may be held for longer.

Thank you for the response. I have had no problem listing items so perhaps have already done the managed payments. 

So if payment is held until delivery is confirmed will this just release after 14 days even if the QR code label has not been used?

It is released after 14 days,  however, as you are a returning seller,  the payout can be held for 30 days, longer if you haven't registered for Managed Payments.  You may be able to list  one item or a few items for sale ,but you won't receive payments if you haven't registered for MP.

Do you remember receiving 2 micro deposits and confirming this back to eBay?

Ah ok thank you, seems I have gotten myself into a bit of a mess. I really appreciate the help.
