Simple Delivery - eBay's new sales prevention?

Anyone know if eBay are going to add more postage options on their oh so NOT 'simple delivery'?  I can't see a way I can continue selling a lot of items. Their customer service people, whilst polite, have no information to help.  Only answer I'm given is for me (seller) to choose to pay eBay for postage and then go and pay 'Again' for Royal Mail special delivery which covers 'valuables' or free collection.

As I understand it Private sellers now can't

1. sell 'valuables' or jewellery  as their postage options don't cover 'valuables' of any value for compensation.

2. offer free collection. have to pay eBay some level of postage.

3. can't offer free local delivery, without having to pay eBay for some level of postage.

4. sell vintage cutlery, as there's no 'age verification' postage option.

Anyone had any factual resolutions from eBay?

Easiest way to avoid SD is upgrade to business seller.

You can then choose your own courier and cost.
