Simple Delivery - Can I choose more couriers?

It seems I cannot turn off Simple Delivery - but is there a way I can choose additional Couriers.  At the moment it is set at either Royal Mail or Evri.  9 times out of 10 I prefer Evri (yes I did say that, I have not any any problems with them!).  But sometimes I like to send by Yodel as the drop-off location is much nearer and I cannot always get to a Post Office or Evri drop-off within a decent timeframe.

Currently, under Simple Delivery it's only Royal Mail and Evri.  We are told more couriers are ' on their way '  but when... ? 🤔

Not sure, but if your item is not under the SD umbrella,  i.e. too large/  too small , you may be able to select other services / couriers?
