Sending my paypal account details

Hi, I received the wrong item. The seller after a few conversations is willing to send the correct item.

I am keeping the wrong item and I have agreed to pay £3 for the shipping of the correct item.

They have asked me to send them my PayPal account details, I paid initially through Ebay through my current bank account. I don't know how to send my PayPal details (Is this safe?). I don't understand why they just cant send me an invoice/bill first through Ebay.

Can anybody help me please?

open a not as described case, the seller sends you a prepaid returns label and you get a refund.

You can then purchase the correct item.

You can't pay more than the checkout amount through ebay.  If you do send the seller £3 through Paypal no-one can make them send you the replacement.
