Send An Item

A label was sent to me last week to send my parcel through Royal Mail. But Royal Mail refused the item because of the size. I was advised to pay fresh money to send it through Parcelforce. Which i did .My question is how do I upgrade the service to the new tracking number I was given? How can the Royal Mail money earlier scheduled for the parcel to be added to my money?

Thank you.

You cannot now add any new tracking,   eBay suggest sending the buyer a message with those tracking details.  If a case is opened later for item not received,   you will be able to add those tracking details.

A refund is sent to whoever paid for the SD label:

  • If you selected 'Buyer pays’ when you created the listing, your buyer will automatically be refunded for any Simple Delivery label that isn’t used after 30 days

  • If you selected ‘Seller pays’ and offered free postage on your listing, you'll need to fill out the Request a refund for Simple Delivery form for the label that wasn’t used.

Was it an item you were returning or an item you sold?

Your buyer paid Ebay for a Simple Delivery label - that money will be refunded to your buyer, not you.

There is no way to get the money back that you paid for the Parcelforce label unless your buyer is prepared to pay you.  You can't invoice them through Ebay to get this payment and they may refuse as they have already paid once even though you did not get that money.

To avoid this happening again, check that your other items are within the size and weight limits for the postal services you have chosen.
