Why has my listing been removed for a used cot bed saying due to safety issues yet I can search and buy other cot beds that have been used

The other cot beds you can see are breaking eBay's policy and when they are spotted and reported like yours was, they too will be removed.

There has been a policy change, that is, anything baby related, for example cot beds, car baby seats, prams, and certain safety items, for example child cycling helmets, have now to be listed only in a New Condition, as they have to have a full safety certificate, in case there is an issue later with these items.

Should an injury arise by selling a second hand item with no safety certificate, heavy liability could fall on the seller and eBay.

There are over 7 billion listings on eBay at any one time,  so impossible to check every item, so some will slip through and become listed until they are spotted.

Do not relist the item,  it cannot be sold within the rules on eBay.

The policy is this:

Eligible sellers can list cots. All cots must meet UK safety standards. Sellers must state in the listing that the cot meets these standards. Cot bumpers and used cots are not allowed

If other sellers have listed used cot beds, there is a 'report item' link on every listing.

Do not relist the removed item.

There is no used condition available for these items, the other sellers, and you presumably, listed in the wrong category to get round that restriction .
