Hi,
Anyone any idea where i stand with this?
So i have recently sold a t shirt which sold for £70.00, the buyer has selected evri and i had no option to change the shipping method (presume this is something new?)
Evri have now lost the parcel (usual behaviour).
Where do i stand with this if the buyer has not selected a method with enough insurance to cover this? As if i have to repay the buyer then i would see this as majorly unfair on the basis that if i had shipped it, i would of ensured enough insurance to cover the cost (IE Royal Mail who cover up to £100.00). If i had shipped it myself with less insurance and it went missing i would take full responsibility but this scenario i am
not happy with as the shipping method was taking out of my/the seller’s hands.
Any advice on this?

If it's your shirt that sold for £66 plus £2.99 postage, it seems to have used eBay Simple Delivery. As I understand it eBay takes responsibility for such items lost or damaged in transit. You might want to check this and point it out to eBay Customer Service.

Not the case it seems as ebay took the money from me yesterday, my complaints falling on deaf ears and rude customer service agents!
Took it external as getting no where with them, might be something to be mindful of as the buyer never covered the parcel with enough insurance neither, so i’m out of pocket

Under FAQs of at the bottom of this:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/sellercentre/postage/simple-delivery
it says:
How is my item covered?
Items are protected against loss or damage from the moment they are scanned into the carrier's delivery network until they are marked as delivered by the carrier. In the event that a buyer raises a claim for an issue that occurs during transit, you'll not be held responsible.
You should contact ebay again and quote that to them. If no joy contact one of the community staff, eg. dave@ebay

Thank you for that, much appreciated!!
Can i contact any staff via here? Like @ one of the staff members? I had two callback’s from the ebay team yesterday who couldn’t wait to get me off the phone, i appealed the decision and they rejected the appeal within 10 minutes.
I spent hours on the phone yesterday getting nowhere.

You can't contact them direct. With any luck Dave will pick up that I've tagged him on my previous post. You have to wait for them to come here and hopefully reply.
