Selling clothes fees

I just sold an item of clothing for £50 with no addition listing fees.
however I only received £41 to withdraw.
I thought eBay didn’t take a cut when selling clothes?
can anyone please explain how it works?
thanks

Selling clothes fees

Have you looked at Payments (all transactions) top right on the seller hub.

ALL TRANSACTIONS are shown there, money received and fees charged.

Selling clothes fees

See the breakdown of your transactions here, it will show any listing  upgrade fees if used, and any postage taken from sold items,  if you used ' Free Postage' under Simple Delivery, this is seller pays for the postage.

Selling clothes fees

Thank you I have found it. They had taken postage for another non clothing item out of balance twice. They have now refunded for one of the postage, was an eBay mistake.
Thank you for your help.

That's good news, but it may have been a goodwill refund.

Remember in future,  if you do not use a Simple Delivery label:

  • If you selected 'Buyer pays’ when you created the listing, your buyer will automatically be refunded for any Simple Delivery label that isn’t used after 30 days
  • If you selected ‘Seller pays’ and offered free postage on your listing, you'll need to fill out the Request a refund for Simple Delivery form for the label that wasn’t used. Make sure to send your request within 14 days of your item selling.
