Selling, buyer sees pending payment. I see nothing as a seller

Hi, I’ve got an item listed for sale as a buy it now. A buyer purchased the item and has made payment, it shows as payment pending on there side of things. My end nothing is showing, no sale, no emails and item is still listed.

It won't show as sold until the buyer's payment clears.

That sounds very odd.  How do you know the buyer has bought the item?  Have they contacted you?

I would wait and see if the item changes to sold and paid.

You could ask the buyer to screenshot the purchase and payment from their purchase history.

Item is not sold until payment made. If payment is pending then it has not yet cleared, so no sale yet.

You may have noticed that your BINs probably say that immediate payment is required, and that is what has happened, but it must be cleared payment. Once cleared then you will have a sale.

The buyer has sent me a screenshot and it’s showing as payment pending at there end. I’m only questioning it as last night the item was shown as sold out on my listing but no confirmation of sale email ect. This morning the item is showing as available.

Hi, as far as the buyer is concerned he has bought and paid for the item. He’s sent me a screenshot showing the purchase as payment pending and says that payment has gone from his bank account. Last night when I checked the item it was showing as out of stock so I assumed it had sold and the payment was processing, but I hadn’t had any confirmation of sale email ect. I checked it again this morning and the item is showing as in stock/unsold so no clue what’s happened. The item won’t be going anywhere until I have that confirmation that it sold.

You haven't sold for a while.

Have you checked your bank details are up to date?

Issue may be your end.

Sold 5 other items this week and they have all gone through fine
