I’ve just sold a watch and normally a label is generated to send the watch for authentication but this sale the address label is direct to the buyer. I’ve confirmed with the buyer that it is his address.
this hasn’t happened before so any ideas or advice why I’m not being asked to send my watch for authentication. Thanks

Your listing has the authentication guarantee on it so the address you are given after the buyer pays should not be the buyer's address.
If you are sure they have paid, and the email from ebay gives you the buyer's address, you need to take that up with ebay tomorrow.

Hi, thanks for the prompt reply.
the funds for the item are showing in my eBay as Pending, I’m assuming this means that they have paid. If this is the case how should I contact eBay.
many thanks

It seems that the buyer purchased through eBay.com not ebay.co.uk and this invalidate the authentication process. Thanks for your help.

Authenticated items can only be sent when buying on UK site.
What did ebay say about where to post item to?

Thank you for that information, it's interesting, especially if they are a UK based buyer. I wonder if your listing, when looked at on .com., showed the authentication tick?

Hi, eBay advised me to request the buyer to cancel the order and re-order on the U.K. site so that the authentication process can be used. I have contacted the seller accordingly.
