Seller trying to bribe for feedback change

I recently bought an item (a mouse mat) which turned out to be slightly different to what was actually listed. The difference was an obvious yet minor one (the border was shown in the image as being black but in reality the image continues to the edge), though this did not make me wish to return the product.

I left neutral feedback, stating the error with the listing, but that the seller was otherwise as expected.

The seller contacted me to ask whether a 10% refund would convince me to change my feedback. I stated that if they instead changed their listings (they sell multiple mouse pads, all showing a black border in the listing) to be accurate, I would happily change my feedback.

Their response was to send me the 10% refund anyway, along with a request to revise my feedback despite not changing their listings. This seems like it should not be allowed, but after attempting to check eBay's terms I am still unsure.

If it isn't allowed, how should I report this?

If this is allowed, I think it would be fair to change my feedback to be negative, and to describe how they acted, but once again I am unsure if I am somehow missing something.

Please let me know if you have any information that would help!

The seller has not broken any rules,  that is,  they are not obliged to change their listing because you then would change your feedback.  In a way that can look like feedback extortion .

Any misleading listings,  buyers are protected with eBay's 30 day MBG policy to receive a full refund,  or to keep the item with a partial refund.

If too many item not as described cases are opened for one item,  then eBay take action wither with sanctions or bans from selling.

Seller trying to bribe for feedback change

I'm aware they were under no obligation to change the listing at my request. To be clear, the part I intuitively thought may not be allowed is the fact that they responded to me as if I had accepted their initial offer (they sent a partial refund and a request to change my feedback), when I had said that I was not willing to improve my feedback for that reason. Thank you for the other information as well.

Regarding my second point, am I all good to change my feedback to be negative due to this ('this' being the way they interacted with me including sending the partial refund, not the initial mistake with the item)? Or is there something I am unaware of?
