Hello - a seller has closed a case I opened - I put the incorrect return reason and I can't now appeal.
Can anyone advice as to my recourse please? It's really unfair how this is set up. No buyer protection at all and it never used to be this weway. I've been buying on Ebay for 22 years with a 100% record.

Cases are all automated so needs the correct information entered, for a successful outcome.
You explain you put in the wrong reason? If it was something like ' didn't fit' and the seller has a No Returns policy, for that reason, yes they can close the case. For item not as described cases , citing Item Does Not Match Decription or Photos, this they cannot close, and would have to refund you.
Unfortunately, another case for this reason for that item, cannot be opened with eBay, but if you received a faulty item, turn to your payment provider for help with your refund now.

As far as I am aware it has always been the same, only one case allowed and if you use the wrong reason and case closes, then you do not get a second chance with ebay.
