Seller misled me, sent broken items, now won't respond

Seller clearly advertised an item as suitable for a certain vehicle, I bought this item, item arrived broken and seller - she kept telling me it will take 8 to 12 weeks to received replacement. After the first 12 weeks she repeated this, I patiently waited and this never materialised and whats more is that the actual item does not fit this vehicle and was falsely avdertised as such.

Seller refuses to reply and I have complained to eBay by highlighting the purchase and opening a case. Ebay have not received a reply from seller yet the simply closed the case HOW? and WHY?

eBay offer a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee if your item isn't as described, and you must open a return within this period. Because you opened a case outside of this timeframe, it only acted as a communications conduit, it could never be actioned to ask eBay to step in.

You're now out of time with eBay - how did you pay? If a debit or credit card you're still in time to issue a not as described chargeback via your card provider.

Time placed 17 Mar 2024

Paid by Paypal

But surely eBay can see the messages between seller and myself and see that the seller effectively scammed me.

Even if they looked they don't extend the 30 day money back guarantee period for any reason.

I paid by Paypal, and paypal is paid via my credit card. I have just now made a claim on Paypal and will see what they say. Hopefully Paypal will sort it, if not I hope to contact me credit card to see what they can do.

I was going to suggest opening a case with Paypal. They have 180 days buyer protection but you do have to pay your own postage to return the item.  Don't forget to escalate your case within the timelines. I think it's between 2 days and 10 days of opening the case.

Seller misled me, sent broken items, now won't respond

Hello all, I have been going round in circles with Paypal. Paypal asked me to post the item back to seller, and said I cna use the services of some Postal Monkey or something, I followed and booked though this company and used Parcel Force, Paypal supplied me with sellers address details, I did exactly as they asked, sent via Royal Mail Parcel Force. I uploaded the proof of postage with tracking number,  AND the proof of delivery supplied by Royal Mail, 'SEVERAL' times, yet Paypal continues to respond with case in sellers favour 'because I didn't provide proof of postage. I have spoken with the chat service who have appealed me case several times but STILL Paypal keeps coming back with the same response, I am pulling my hair out here as now I have no goods nor the payment sent for them, HOW is Paypal not listening to what I am saying? please if anyone can help I would appreciate it.
