Seller may have died

I bought a subscription in Nov '24 for 4 coins to be delivered at various times in 2025. I have used this seller several times before. In Feb '25 I received a message from his son saying he had had a stroke and that he was trying to sort things out. I left it a while but the son has not responded since I asked for a refund over a week ago. What can I do?

nothing you can do through eBay as they have very strict rules on presale and the dates you cite violate the rules.

Perhaps try your payment provider?

As has been said, you might be able to claim from your payment provider e.g. credit or debit card issuer. Failing this, if your seller has died you may have a claim aganst his estate. If there's enouh money involved to make this worthwhile I suggest you consult a solicitor first.
