I purchased a car part in April 2023 one of the units out 6 has failed, sent seller email who had ignores, I asked to purchase 1 new item but he choosing to ignore. What to do as his business details show initial and address, no email or phone number ?

You could research the business name and address to see if there is a phone number or write the seller a letter explaining your issue and wht you expect them to do.

After more than 6 months, your rights are limited but if the seller provided a warranty, you could ask Citizens Advice what 'next steps' you could take.

You can't do anything through eBay as their own money back guarajntee only lasts for 30 days. After that they will have no  interest.

Good luck if you can track the seller down and get anything done. Next time your son buys something on eBay remind him that eBay even warns buyers in the user agreement that "they do not guarantee the existence, quality, safety or legality of items advertised, or the truth or accuracy of descriptions".

Would he have bought these items from a shop that stated this? Buying from unknown sellers on eBay isn't like the shops. eBay is a jungle.
