I recently sold an expensive item. Item posted by simple delivery. Proof of delivery with photo provided by Royal Mail. E-Bay stepped in - "We'll take it from here". Customer support made decision - no refund as proof of delivery.  Buyer claims non receipt. 5 days later - new outcome and the amount paid was refunded from my account.

You will need to take this up with Ebay.  Simple Delivery should have covered you, but did the buyer open a second case - a chargeback - through their payment source?

Check what the tracking shows so you have evidence that it was delivered to the correct address.

Do you always use Simple Delivery?

Some of your crystal items are showing delivery with a signed service which I didn't think was available with Ebay SD.

(Happy to be corrected if anybody else has seen SD with a signature.)

You may be better waiting until Tuesday morning when the lines may be less busy and you will be more likely to be speaking to Customer services in Ireland.

Thank you. A card was put through the customer door to advise delivery and also a proof of delivery photo was issued by the Post Office.

I am pleased to say that my appeal has been granted due to my evidence and my monies returned to my account today.

Hi,

I am pleased to say e-bay granted my appeal and have now refunded the monies taken from my account.

With regard to |Royal Mail Special Delivery, I use this for items over £750 as I can get compensation up to £2,500 should there be a problem. I believe e-bay only cover items up to £750 with Simple Delivery.

Thank you so much for your input in this matter, much appreciated.
