Sell as a lot

How does this work when listing? If I switch it on it just asks me the quantity in the lot. I have some items that are exactly the same and i can put "quantity" "two" to sell them from the same listing. I just wondered how this differs.

I think it means list one item, containing all. It is not allowed to list single repeat items at the same time and I also think that private sellers will have difficulty in listing multiple items on one listing as they are not expected to have quantities of the same item.

Hi, When i saw it i was hoping it was a way of linking individual items. I have some railway magazines which don't sell as a lot and postage is offputting selling them individually. I hoped this would be a way of linking individual items together and allowing the buyer to make their own bundle. 

Wishful thinking I guess.
