Make one mistake that the system doesn't expect, and it all falls to pieces.
I put an item up for sale, and it sold "buy it now" within minutes. Great.
I packed the item, and then bought the postage within ebay. But when I took it down to the Post Office, they said I had bought the wrong type of postage - it was for a letter rather than a parcel. I immediately went home and bought the parcel equivalent (tracked). The fee for the letter postage I just put down to experience - it wasn't much compared to the selling price. So I sent off the parcel, it was tracked and marked Delivered. But now ebay is thinking (??) that my delivery is in two bits - one parcel and one letter. So the parcel is marked as delivered, and the letter is marked as overdue. I've received payment by the way - that's all fine.
So that means that overall, the item cannot be marked as delivered. I'm now getting a mailshot from ebay asking if I want to relist the item.
How do I get this sorted out ?

Whilst going through all the menus associated with my account, I came across something called "Postage Labels" and found that I was still within time to cancel my unused letter postage label. Let's see if this clears things up.

The item is now marked as delivered , which is the main thing. Royal Mail have never replied to refuend my £3.50, but you can't have everything. I'll put it down to experience.

You said you bought the postage through eBay? Then this will explain how to receive a refund for the unused label.
Find your label with this link . https://www.ebay.co.uk/ship/
The refund will take between 5 - 21 days to process.
