How have you been scammed?

What has happened?

@fr-285373  The sale is for £52.70, and you receive £50 from it.

Where's the extra £400 coming from?

Hello it’s partly my own fault I’m not very internet savvy I’m a bit older and I thought I was doing a good thing by sending what they asked for is there anything helpful you can add or are you just being nasty to a stranger who needs help?

There was nothing nasty in the response in post 3 - it was a sensible question and the more information you give, the more likely you are to get help.

However, you have been cheated out of your money. This is a very old scam and I don't think anybody will be able to help you.

We sympathise with you if you sent gift card and haven't been paid for it.

But, ebay won't help as it wasn't through their site.

You have just given away £400. Unless you can get whoever you bought the card from to cancel it, I doubt that you can get anything back.
zI imagine that as soon as received it is used so probably no hope of cancellation.

Not sure how that post could possible be deemed nasty?

You posted a screenshot for a £52.70 sale but say that you've lost £450. You haven't mentioned where the extra money you've lost has come from, which is why I asked.

If you've sent somebody money outside of eBay then this is nothing to do with eBay.
