I always feel a bit anxious if I sell expensive items - I sold a brooch for £376 late last year and sent it to the USA so that was quite stressful. (All was well!)
However, honestly, although there are some bad buyers (and sellers) on the site, in my experience of 20 years and 6000 sales, the vast majority of buyers are honest.
Ultimately, you have to decide if you want the item you are selling or do you want the cash. If it's the cash, then sell it and assume everything will be fine. It usually is!
