Sales money becoming available to withdraw

I sold an item earlier today and bought the label through ebay. Later I saw that it was available to withdraw. I should have withdrawn it first but I didn't. Then I sold another item and bought the label from eBay for that too. When I went to withdraw available funds I knew the second item was yet to clear but was expecting the full amount of the first item minus the label for that item. What I actually had available was the first item minus both of the labels. Now ebay is holding the full amount for the second item including the postage cost 🤔

As long as there is no initial hold on your payout,  that is,  if you are a new or returning seller, proceed this way below. 

Stangely some members have found this works on some devices and not on others,  so worth trying on apps / PC and laptops use Chrome, until you find the combination that works for you.

Click on Payments >>  Summary then any payout available for immediate withdrawal,  is available for you, in a big blue banner.

Click on the  >  arrow,   top right you may need to log in again, or even verify your account by receiving a text or email code.

Your eBay  balance will show at the top, cliick on withdraw bottom right.

On the pop up screen which appears, at the top,  there's a large,  bolder £ sign, and flashing sign beside it.  There,  you add the amount you wish to withdraw. At the bottom.... Withdraw  £*** Now click on this.

A notification appears... Your Money is on its Way.  Click on this and then on Done.

Money is then sent to your nominated bank account and it will depend on your banks processing times,  as to when you are able to withdraw the money.  Some banks are faster than others.

The point I was making is that ebay deducted the labels for two items from the cleared funds of one sale yesterday instead of deducting the cost of the labels from both sales, one from each. We are permitted to buy a label from uncleared funds. They are still holding £9.90 which includes the label of £3.25. Both items are with the royal mail on their way to the buyers. What I should have done, and will from now on, is withdraw available funds before doing any admin on the sale that comes after.

Aah  OK I see the point you're making, and another reason why I don't use those funds available like you are going to do now,   to buy anything with them,  but to withdraw those amounts, and pay for any extras,  labels / items,  with a separate payment method.

Seems to work for some,  but seemingly here for you, something went amiss ?

I have just had a phone conversation about this. When labels are bought they are deducted from available funds first. If no available funds then it can be deducted from the uncleared funds from  the sale the label is for. This is sneaky! I have made it clear to the agent that if I continue to sell after the 4th it will be because I have twisted my own arm! This is after 18 years of good seller performance which counts for nothing.

Oh well that's worth us knowing that here,  as I'm sure when buying labels becomes mandatory from eBay come Simple Delivery for Private sellers,  I'm sure that question will appear.
