Royal mai track and trace states returned - seller denies and is not refunding

I need help with an issue regarding a reconditioned mobile phone I purchased as a Christmas present.

When it was opened, it turned out to be faulty. I contacted the seller, who provided a return address, and I returned the phone using Royal Mail’s Track and Trace service. The tracking information confirms the parcel was delivered on 7/1/25

However, the seller is denying receipt of the phone at their warehouse and is refusing to issue a refund. Since it has been over 30 days, eBay they do not asist and their is no support appropriate

I’m unsure how to proceed. Any advice would be appreciated.

Unless you opened a return through Ebay (and, since you have been using the site since 2008, you should know the procedure), there is nothing Ebay can do.

Contact your payment provider and see if they can help as you purchased a faulty item and have proof of return.

Have you never read the Ebay 30 day money back guarantee. It is on every listing right side “buy with confidence”.  Unfortunately few buyers seem to read it.

yes I have read it thanks for your useless input. but when the seller says
3 months guarantee which turns into one month from day it was posted from
China, doesn't really help does it.
