I sold an expensive used toaster ~ and accepted a much reduced offer ~buyer has since complained its used and asked to return it sending photos which don't look like the toaster I sent !?

Unless buyer opens a not as described case, then your NO RETURNS POLICY applies.
If buyer is trying it on, he might not wish to open a proper return case, and perhaps hoping you will just refund.
If he does open a proper return case, you have to provide and pay for return label, and can only complain if he returns a different item to what you sent.
Sorry to say that if this happens you will get no help from ebay, as they will just say they did not see what was sent or returned.

Thank you f John for your speedy response and advice ~ think sadly its a sign of the times some people want something for nothing and have no conscience about swindling someone !!
