Return closed by seller

I recently purchased an underwear item from a seller.  Fully understanding the conditions of what wasn't ok to return, I raised a completely valid issue with the product quality as the elastic had gone after 2 wears.  The selling advised me to open a return, which I did, then they closed the return and have stopped communicating with me.   Ebay then tells me I cannot do anything because the return is closed, so i'm left with a fault product and no buyer protection.

Did you open a "not as described" or "faulty" case through eBay?  Did you escalate if needed?

 

Were you within 30 days of the delivery?  EBay only deals with cases in that time. 

 

Although the seller may have responsibilities after that date it would be difficult to enforce and probably not worth the effort for a reasonably small amount.   @sharp_lad
