Return address not same country item was shipped from

Sorry if this has been asked before but I could not find a clear answer 

I brought an item from a seller whose location is China. The item was shipped from the UK and listing stated location UK. Having received the item I have changed my mind so requested a return. The return address is Chinese

Is the seller allowed to request a return to an address in China when the item was located in the UK?

The seller has to supply an address in the UK if that was the item location, you don't have to post to China.  Open a return, if the seller refuses to give you a UK address, contact ebay.
