I listed an item today, with a reserve price and a link to the manufacturer's website, so my potential buyers could get as much info on the product. Ebay immediately cancelled the listing, as apparently adding a website page contravenes the rules.
Ok, no problem, relist without the webpage details. Now they want to charge two reserve price fees, one on a listing that is no longer there and only was in existence for 3 minutes! Surely that's not right?

Reserves will cost an additional 4% fee on the reserve price set --- sold or not. Instead save by starting your item at the price you would expect to get.

You could try asking for a one off credit of the first charge, but they don't have to give it. Reserve fees are stated as being non refundable.

I would definitely get in touch with Customer Services - use the link below for a callback after 9am.
Explain that you did set a reserve but that Ebay cancelled the listing because you inadvertently broke the rule about including links.
They may say no but it is worth a try.
Generally though, reserve prices are an expensive waste of money.
