Relishing item withdrawn due to alleged policy violation

I’ve just had an item I’m selling taken down as it was thought I was trying to sell it outside eBay. I assume this is because I included the name of a town I live near in the description, as I was making it clear I needed the buyer to collect.

i have tried to revise the listing but couldn’t so have appealed and just got the same automated email saying I was trying to sell outside eBay. Am I just going to have to start the listing again?

Your town should be shown on your listing under location, so you shouldn't need to add it to the description.

I agree absolutely, but buyers quite often miss that so I thought it wouldn’t hurt to repeat it. But equally, how can I possibly be in violation of eBay policy for repeating information that is already in the listing?

Please can the listing be reinstated. I am happy to remove the name of my town from the description even though it makes no sense.
Many thanks

We are members like you, we do not have any influence in getting it relisted.

Best to do a new listing.

Apologies. I had launched an appeal at the same time and thought this was a response to that.
I think you are right, I will have to relist as I don’t seem to be getting anywhere in communicating with eBay. I just get the same automated email.
Thank you

We can't reinstate anything but you could try a new listing.
