I recently sold a pair of Russell & Bromley sandals.
They were in good used condition.
The buyer has just sent me pictures of the sandals which shows one sandal completely destroyed. They said they had worn them out and the two layers of the sole had separated.
They have accused me of trying to glue the soles together before selling them.
This is certainly not the case.
They want a refund. These shoes have been manhandled and not by me.
It is very sad when this happens. The seller is always the one who loses out, and it is unfair when buyers are not honest.

Had you stored them without wearing for a while? Certain makes of shoes and certain types of soles do have a habit of degenerating over time when not worn and then fall apart when worn again. Your buyer could well be telling the truth.

Yep, there are certainly the ' bad uns ' out there , thankfully not the norm.
When did they purchase these items? If within 30 days of the item's last estimated date for delivery they are in time to open a case for item not as described.
If this happens , because cases are all automated, no human contact, no point challenging it then. You will need to refund and if you want the item back, pay for the tracked return postage. You can then appeal the decision for the refund:

I won't admit it's easy, and eBay do tend to side with the buyer, but you never know, the buyer may have a history of doing this, too many returns do register on their account and cause red flags to eBay.
Whatever the outcome block this nuisance buyer from returning to your sales, add their ID here:

Shoes do not store well, how long have you had them?
I lent a pair of top dollar designer shoes to a friends daughter for her prom and, whilst looking perfect beforehand, after an hour they literally fell apart.
Apparently, neither the glue holding shoes together lasts forever, neither does some of the rubber parts, it degrades (even when kept well stored).
