Refund

Someone wants to return a phone I sold them and receive a refund. EBay took £40 in fees, will I get this back as I now have to refund the buyer?

Refund

Payouts are placed on hold when a case is open for a refund.

Ask your buyer to open the relevant case for the return.  Fully refund through those case details but only when you receive your phone back.

You do not say if it is being returned for the reason, ' item not as described',  if so,  you pay for that fully tracked return postage.

If there is no money in the Available section of your Payment Summary,  eBay will take the refund from your back up source,  this is usually your bank account.

When the case is finalised with the refund,  the payout from the sale is released to you, minus 30p admin costs.
