Refund of postage issue

Sold item on 29/11/25. Buyer chose DHL as courier with collection booked for Monday 1/12/25. Waited in all day with no collection attempted? Spoke to one of your representatives and was told "normally in simple delivery, if the prepaid by buyer label is not used, the refund will automatically go to the buyer within 30-40 days, however as DHL have not collected the item from you, you can get back to us with an alternative tracking number and proof of postage, and we will submit the details and you will get a refund within 14 days"

So booked delivery with Evri and dispatched on Tuesday 2nd December, supplied tracking number etc etc. Item was successfully delivered on 3rd December. I have all my proof of delivery to eBay via upload link. which I have already sent proof of to you... It's now been over 30 days and I've still not had any kind of refund for the £9.53 postage...

Everything regarding this issue is within all the chat transcripts.. I phoned eBay on 15th December and was told the refund would be sent via PayPal within 3 days..  nothing ...  Called again 7th January was told the same thing again and yet again nothing... So here we now are?? Seems like it's just going round in circles??? Any help/advice appreciated

You won't get a refund of the evri postage.

 

If the buyer paid for the DHL postage they get the refund.

 

If you paid for it there is a claim form to complete but limited time to do so.

I get that. But I was told by the eBay agent to book my own postage. And supply the proof of postage. Which I did via upload. It was not my fault DHL did not show up and that I could not be in the rest of the week. So I took the advice of the eBay agent and done what they said? It's all in the chat transcripts..

Perhaps the ebay agent didn't fully understand the situation?

 

Which postage were you trying to claim?

Possibly not? But in 26 years of buying and selling if never had any issues like this with eBay in the past? And it was fully explained to said agent who's name is on the chat transcripts
