Refund hasn’t arrived

So I purchased something on the 18th of march the. Two days the later the seller said he couldn’t send it due to eBay not sending out his payments (not my problem) so he cancelled the order and refunded me. Normally refunds from eBay appear back in my account the same day. However the refund still hasn’t gone back into the account. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I’m worried as it normally goes back in the same day like I mentioned earlier. But this is the first time I’ve been refunded for an item since eBay’s changes to how sellers recieve payments. So maybe that has something to do with it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If seller cancelled due to him not understanding how things work, a refund is automatically made, BUT refunds go back to source, and in case of paying by credit card can tske up to 30 days.

In this case however, your payment to seller is still held, so cannot be used to refund, and money should be taken by ebay from his bank account and refunded to you. Any delay is basically down to seller not honouring the sale, as that is the best way to get money released.

In due course leave negative feedback, just say “seller would not honour the sale”.
