Refund Request - Help Needed

So, I sold a an item of jewellery (diamond ring). It was new, unboxed with tags for £150. The buyer sent me a message saying they didn't like the colour of the stones when it arrived, so have changed their mind and now wants a refund. I explained I don't have to refund for a change of mind, only if item was lost, damaged or not as described....hence another message about 20 minutes later, saying the ring was scuffed when it arrived. I know this isn't the case as it was brand new with tags and my photos on the listing show this.

I refused the refund and told the seller either they or me after 3 days could ask ebay to review the case. Now silly me for thinking this was a good thing. So within about 3 hours Ebay have asked her to return to me and they will issue a refund once tracking is confirmed.

What is the point of a dispute service, if they won't take into account my point of view and just automatically find in favour of the buyer?

If buyer opened change of mind return, you could have refused.

All sellers have to accept not as described case, issue returns label & refund on return.

You are lucky ebay told buyer to return item, often if seller refuses, buyer gets refund & keeps item.
