So, I sold a an item of jewellery (diamond ring). It was new, unboxed with tags for £150. The buyer sent me a message saying they didn't like the colour of the stones when it arrived, so have changed their mind and now wants a refund. I explained I don't have to refund for a change of mind, only if item was lost, damaged or not as described....hence another message about 20 minutes later, saying the ring was scuffed when it arrived. I know this isn't the case as it was brand new with tags and my photos on the listing show this.
I refused the refund and told the seller either they or me after 3 days could ask ebay to review the case. Now silly me for thinking this was a good thing. So within about 3 hours Ebay have asked her to return to me and they will issue a refund once tracking is confirmed.
What is the point of a dispute service, if they won't take into account my point of view and just automatically find in favour of the buyer?
