Bought at bargain price then later goods were unavailable, seller said they had ‘disappeared’

The order then got cancelled and refunded but not before two weeks of mails, excuses, silence... but once the item has been removed from purchases, how can you alert eBay itself and other buyers to these practices?

A seller cannot remove a purchased item,  but eBay can if it breached a selling regulation.

Not knowing what this item was it is hard to make further comment.

However,  the seller may have had their account restricted.  Continuing to sell the same item will see their account closed.
