Hi all.

i sent furniture to a buyer but the cleaner who gave it to the courier didn’t scan a we code so it’s still “waiting to be sent”. The buyer got it before Christmas.

how do I rectify this if the buyer doesn’t give me the code?

will eBay automatically refund the money even though he has the items?

eBay won't refund the money.   Without the code you would normally get it after 21 days but ebay will classify you as a new seller so payment will probably be held for 30 days.   But you will get it.

eBay will not automatically refund the buyer's money , but  in future never let an item go without receiving that code, because the buyer if dishonest, could open a case for item not received, as you have no proof of collection they would receive a full refund.

There are also chargebacks a buyer can turn to , so for future collection items as said,  just politely message the buyer that they need to bring that code with them on collection, as the item cannot be released without it.
