Qr Code question

Hi. I've just sold an item for the first time in a year or so. I didn't realise there was a QR code that I needed to show at the post office. I only noticed this when I went to mark the item as dispatched. 

I've paid for recorded delivery,  I have recipet which had a tracking number, my question is. Will this cause any issue on my side or buyers side as the QR code wasnt used?

If you plan to list anything else, you should read about Simple Delivery.  Ebay set the postage cost and take responsibility for items lost or damaged in the post which is obviously an advantage to the seller.

You may be able to change the tracking but, as an infrequent seller who has just sold a pricey item, you may have to wait a while for your payment.

I don't know what service you used - 'recorded delivery' hasn't been available for several years and an item of that value needed to be sent using Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery to be covered.

I asked the lady for recorded and she asked if i wanted signed for,
tracked. I said yes. The receipt i have shows this and I sent a picture of
it to the buyer.

As its Sunday, I would imagine no post is collected today, would you
recommend i go back me explain whats happened and give them rhe QR code?

The QR code will be for a different label, a Simple Delivery label that the buyer has paid for, so it's unlikely that the Post Office will let you cancel the label you've already bought from them. You can ask though.

You could try but there are lots of issues.

Somebody would have to retrieve your parcel, process a refund etc. and Post Office staff do not have to return your parcel to you after it has been put in the system.

There may be Sunday collections so your parcel may have gone.

I don't know what I would do in your situation.

If you sent your parcel using Royal Mail Tracked and Signed For, it is only covered for up to £75 but it's likely it will arrive safely.
