QR code for collection only items

I sold an item and it was collected but I did not know anything about needing to scan a QR code and my buyer didn't mention it either.What happens now?

Without this code,  your payout will be held for a minimum of 14 days.

You could send you buyer a message to search through their emails,  even Spam,  eBay messages and order details for this code,  which if they can send to you,  you can enter those numbers,  alongside ...Confirm Collection.

Otherwise,  as said,  your payout will be held, but will be released.....  eventually.

Thank you ,that's rather unfair ! I didn't know about any of this and I've been selling on eBay for 20 years.  I have messaged the buyer and am hoping she will contact me
