Potential scam?

So I’ve never sold on eBay before but I know there is always people getting scammed just wondering if anyone has experienced this to know if scam or not.

I only read as far as ....  ' WhatsApp me your number ',   and needed to read no more to tell you this is 100% going to lead to a scam sale, loss of item and money.

Ignore it don't answer it, eBay read all messages going through their system so they may take action on that seller's account,  you will not be notified of any action taken.

Block this person now from returning to any of your sales.

I would avoid, it does sound like a scam, and not worth the risk. I would suggest not even replying.

As a seller you only have any protection if shipped to address provided by eBay with payment details. I am sure that ebay would not allow any details of WhatsApp to be given , and while it is not uncommon for overseas buyers to have goods sent to friends or Shipping Companies in the UK, to save on postage costs they do lose any form of buyer protection.

If he is genuine he should give his friend the money to buy in the UK.

No genuine offer gives a shipping address before payment.

Just looked at your item for sale, you quote £3.71 for postage.

Have you checked that whatever  method you propose using actually covers for the full value, in event of loss or damage. I suspect that cover would be no more than £20.
