Postage

I had £8.80 ish in my account or thereabouts and Ive just sold an item for £10 plus £5.10 postage. Item is set to buyer pays postage. I’ve just arranged postage and selected label via eBay. Now my account credit says £3 something 🤷‍♀️ Ive double checked buyer pays postage and they have paid £15.10 so why has my account credit reduced by £5? Am I missing something?

Check in payments.

I think you will find that Ebay has deducted the £5.10p postsga from your £8.80 balance but the payment for the item and postage from your new sale has not been released to you yet.

So, when the £15.10 is paid to you, your balance will be back to £18 odd as it should be,

Thank you, that would make sense. Just haven’t noticed it before.

“Buyer pays for postage” That is not the same as buyer BUYS postage. You have to buy and pay for  postage, before the money paid by buyer is released to you. As money is released within 24 hours now, all will return to normal by tomorrow.

Saying 24 hours, recently I had a buyer pay and money released same day.
