Hi All

I sent an expensive item with Evri, I paid for signed postage but the courier threw it over my buyers back fence. The item was a drone that cost my buyer £800. I couldn't get it covered as Evri do not cover this item. I contacted Evri and they have told me that I have to go through ebay about this. I'm not sure how I go about this now. Can anyone help? Thank you

This was not a Simple Delivery item - items listed with a starting price over £750 are not eligible.

You listed the postage as 'other courier' and chose to post with Evri.

If you bought the label through Ebay using Packlink, you can try starting a case through Packlink but if the drone is on Evri's long list of excluded items, I fear that you will not get anywhere.

Thank you for your reply. The item isn't on Evri's excluded list of items, it's an item they will not cover. My complaint is in regards to the courier not getting the parcel signed for when I paid for this service. Evri have told me that I need to take this up with Ebay as I purchased the label through them.

Evri expect you to claim via Packlink if you bought the label via eBay, the most you'd be covered for would be £25 though.

You could try posting about this on the National Consumer Service, where the legal lot there have guided people through making claims against Evri.

Sending an £800 item via Evri was a bad move though, for an item of that price it should've been sent via a courier that offered coverage against loss or damage.

Thank you for your reply. It was a bad move on my part for sending with Evri. I thought if I got it signed for at least I'm sure that the parcel wouldn't be left outside. I will know better next time.
